Teaching Experience

As a design educator, I prepare students to execute skillful design work reinforced by research and conceptual thinking. This approach has guided my educational strategies in the undergraduate courses I have taught as an instructor of record at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I integrate research, design, and conceptualization by implementing actionable critique practices, one-on-one mentoring, and student-centered learning strategies. Within these ideals, students develop technical skills through design principles, tutorials, and exercises that extend beyond the classroom to prepare them for working in industry.
